The Art

My art has definitely changed throughout the years. I still love using textures over brushes. I hope to use more typography since I'm awful at type placements. I'm also working on keeping things as simple as possible, to get the message across. I'm still a fan of pairings, and most of what I create online will have that effect. I'm going to have to add more of the pieces I work on in class in the art section. You'll probably notice that they're not as fluffy as what I make online for the multiple pairings that I'm a fan of.

Also, if you're here and wondering why the walls are so shippy, it's because it's all the art I can do. Ships are the only thing that insprire me. Other things are just blah! So if you're a fan of a series but not the pairing, you won't find anything good in this site. I'm not much of an artist. I've been drawing lately and actually working on a second bachelors in Art this time. I should have done it to begin with. I'll probably upload some drawing that I've finished. My walls all have the same feel. I use the same textures. I do like Trex-ture's textures, although the site seems to be gone :( Luckily I saved them all. I'll create occassional icons, but I haven't necessarily created a section for them. I'm just more into creating wallpapers, 100x100 is too small a canvas. I've also got a new screen with a resolution of 1680x1050. Making walls for it is so hard. I can't fill out the space. When I resize them to 1280x1024 and 1024x768 the wall changes appearances. Oh well. Please make sure not to direct link. I've been finding my walls linked in forums. It's cool if you post them, but please upload them to free sites. Also, I don't mind my walls used as banners, etc... as long as you let me know first. I don't care if you let me know or not, but don't try to take credit for them. I hate watermaking things because it's just dumb, but it really sucks to see stuff that I do on someone else's website.

Total Pieces = 3 pieces

So far I've only managed to take a photo of three pieces that I've worked on. One isn't so great, I gave it as a birthday present and I forgot to actually take a picture of it. I only have a shot as my friend was holding it up when she opened the present. Blah - It's hottie Daniel Henney too.

  • Drawing One: Cherry Blossoms
  • Dimension: 1 x 1 (feet)
  • Description: This was my first attempt at using pastel chalk. I mainly just used 4 colors (white, red, black and dark pink/purple). First off, it was messier than I thought. Mixing colors was pretty fun. My original intent was to actually just do a collage. I started it for the petals, but the paper just wouldn't stick since the pastel chalk kept coming off. Such a messy project, but I was actually happy at the outcome. I need to frame it. My sister has been eyeing it.
  • Drawing Two: Lee Dong Wook
  • Dimension: 1 x 1 (feet)
  • Description: My third project. I'm not a fan of colored pencils, but I didn't realize that they made soft ones so coloring and shading was actually smoothe. I'm not really a fan of colors, I prefer black and white. Or plain graphite or charcoal drawings. I just don't know how to choose the right colors. This one came out okay. It doesn't really look like him, but hey, it was the third project I did.
  • Drawing Three: Daniel Henney
  • Dimension: 1.5 x 2 (feet)
  • Description: This was given as a birthday present. I didn't do this in class. The picture isn't the best quality. I forgot to take a photo of the final project. I just did it for fun.

Wallpapers

I'm not much of an icon maker, but I've listed the few that I did manage to make. A majority of the wallpapers are 1024 x 768, but I've moved on to 1680 x 1050. I usually resize them to 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 1024. Feel free to take for personal use, banners, etc... just don't take credit for doing them. They're not all that hot to begin with.
