The Fangirl
As hard as I try to update this site, I've decided that I will update when the voices stop talking and I find inner peace. I don't want to waste all those years fangirling. The goal is to persevere and get over the whole "I'm too lazy to update" mentality. If you've read this far, you might want to stop. There's seriously nothing worth remembering in this section except for my neverending admiration of asian dramas. Korean and Japanese to be more specific. Something that if you don't already watch, you might want to consider. If you don't need to get hooked on something that will no doubt be worse than a drug, you might not want to continue reading. It will probably convince you to give it a try, and I take no responsibility for any future addictions.dramas and pairings
I can't believe I've watched almost 200 dramas. A majority of which are Korean Dramas. Not that my Japanese Dramas list isn't growing. I do have a bad habit of abandoning dramas, because truthfully some of them are just plain old crap. It's too painful to watch that you just have to move on. But sometimes, you find a drama that just fits perfectly to your taste and you love every single moment you spend watching it. Those are keepers and most of the time worth rewatching. So don't let convoluted online synopsis drive you away from watching a great drama. At least watch the first two episodes. You can usually tell if it's at par to your preferences. And don't worry about starting and not finishing it, there's just too many choices. Too many dramas to watch, that I doubt you'll run out. There are four season and at least 50 dramas produced yearly. The best part is to have a group of people that you can discuss the drama with. I find it very therapeutic.
In the past I've been obsessed with American TV series pairings. All the shows I watch have a special couple that I tend to favor. The following are pairings that I've enjoyed watching. It's not the most updated list. I've added some and taken some off. But there's just never enough time to keep it updated.
current focus
I'm still hooked on Asian Dramas. Yes, it's still Korean and Japanese dramas. I just can't get enough. I've actually gotten rid of the television in my room. So I don't watch any shows or news other than what I read online. I watch commercials that are funny and that people insist I watch online, via youtube. It's amazing how much free time you get just by getting rid of the television. Just try it, when you get over the whole, OMG I missed an episode, what do I do?! you'll be fine. It'll be smooth sailing after that. So far I'm only watching 3 shows and it's only possible because I actually get them online and then marathon. It's much better to watch the whole season uninterrupted, rather than waiting for commercials. But I'm still being true to CSI New York, Bones and Smallville. That's about it. It's so much different from how I was before. Although my TV downtime has me actually watching more dramas, but I refuse to give that up. So one thing had to go and it turned out to be American shows. I do feel like a shut in since I don't get some commercial references or TV show references. But it's so much cooler to say "I don't watch TV." It feels very organic. It's just plain indescribable.
spring and summer 2008 menu
Of course dramas. There's nothing but dramas on the table for spring. But Summer!!! I
can't wait for July. My friends and I are finally going on a trip outside of California.
Since I'm going to be at my usual one month in Hawaii deal this summer again, my friends
are going to be with me for 7-10 days of that. I can't wait. It'll be in Honolulu, Oahu
and also Hilo/Kona, Big Island. Is it July yet?!
